  • How can I order replacement parts/accessories for my unit?

  • My unit does nothing. What should I do?
    • Make sure outlet works and the transformer is pushed firmly and completely into the outlet.
    • Be sure the unit is on.
    • Check to see if the breaker was tripped. If so, reset the breaker.
    • Ambient Temperature is above 122 degrees F or below 32 degrees F. Unit will restart after shutting off for 3 minutes.
  • Is the LCD light flashing?
    This is an indicator that your internal water tank is full - drain the unit.
  • Poor airflow in the room?
    • Make sure there are no curtains, blinds or furniture blocking the front or back of unit.
    • Clean the filter if the air filter is dirty.
    • Note- For the AHD-45E and AHD-65E, after prolonged usage, the condensor coils behind the filter may develop a residue buildup. Unless cleaned regularly with a soft brush, this residue will harden and may require a special cleaning by a refrigerator/air-conditioning service man.
  • Is the Humidity lower than the room Humidity?
    Set the Humidity higher.
  • Unsatisfactory Dehumidification?
    • When unit is first installed, allow at least 3 or 4 days to remove the moisture from the room to maintain desired dryness.
    • Check with the dealer that the model is suitable for room size and moisture level.
    • Adjust the controls according to instructions.
    • Check to see if all openings are closed tightly.
    • Install the dehumidifier away from the moisture laden air generated by the dryer. Dryer should be vented to the outside.
    • Unit will not operate correctly if the room temperature is below 60 degrees F.

The following are additional FAQ's for the AD 400E unit only:
  • Is the Alarm indicator on?
    The condensation discharge hose is not positioned correctly or is bent. Check to see if the hose is positioned correctly. Disconnect and reconnect the appliance.
  • Is the Defrost Light on?
    • Check if temperature is above 41 degrees F. If not and the light is still on, stop the unit. Temperature is too low.
    • Air filter may be dirty and need cleaning.
    • Clean the Air Inlet/Outlet grills if dirty.
    • Unit can be restarted after it defrosts.
